Gifts to Theta Tau’s new home may be paid over a 3-year period, and are being directed to one of two entities:
Gifts and pledges of less than $10,000 are directed to Tech Fiji’s, Inc. and are not tax deductible. Here is how to make a pledge or gift to Tech Fiji’s Inc..
$50,000 Matching Gift Challenge
As part of a generous leadership gift to build our new home, Ann & Jay (’85) Wolverton have issued a challenge to Theta Tau graduates: they will match any gift received by Tech Fiji’s Inc. through the end of 2019, up to a total of $50,000. Thanks to the generosity of Ann & Jay, your contribution to TFI before December 31st is matched dollar for dollar. As an example, your gift of $2,500 before the end of the year suddenly becomes a $5,000 gift to our new home! But act fast, as this challenge only lasts until December 31 – or until $50,000 in matching donations has been reached.
Gifts and pledges of $10,000 or more may be directed to the Phi Gamma Delta Educational Foundation and are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Here is how to make a pledge or gift to the Educational Foundation.
Why are only gifts of $10,000 or more eligible to be directed to the Phi Gamma Delta Educational Foundation? The amount we are able to have directed to the Foundation depends on the percentage of our project that is strictly and exclusively educational in nature. Though final numbers must be reviewed and approved by legal counsel, in our case we believe that the Foundation will be able to accept approximately $250,000. Consequently, in an effort to encourage leadership giving, the campaign policy will be that gifts of $10,000 or more may be directed to the Foundation until such time as the maximum amount ultimately determined by legal counsel has been reached. Once that amount has been reached, all gifts will be directed to Tech Fiji’s Inc.
